Who you are dealing with

:brand supplies wholesale coconuts — tender coconut (daab), adult coconut and jhunu narkel — from growers around Satkhira, and delivers them by road on hired transport arranged for each order. Our address and phone number are at the foot of every page.

A price on the site is an estimate

The rate card and the calculator give you a genuine figure worked from today's rates and the distance you entered. It is not an offer, and it is not binding until we have spoken.

Rates move with the harvest. The price that counts is the one we confirm with you by phone, and we will not change it after that without asking you first.

Minimum and maximum order

Every product has a smallest and a largest order, shown on its card. Below the minimum, a pickup run costs more than the coconuts on it, so we would rather tell you before you book than after.

Booking and the advance

An order is booked when we have confirmed the rate with you and received the advance shown on your order.

The advance is not a deposit against the goods. Once you book, our team goes out and buys your coconuts from the growers, and that money is spent whether or not the load is collected.

That is why the advance is not refundable if you cancel. It is stated on the booking form, on the rate card and here, because it is the single term customers most often want to argue about afterwards.

The balance is paid when the pickup reaches you.

Delivery

We deliver anywhere our pickup can reach in a day. If your district is out of range the site will say so rather than take a booking we cannot keep.

The delivery charge is a base amount plus a rate per kilometre, measured from our yard to the point you gave us. One charge covers the whole load; it is not per piece or per box.

We give you a delivery date when we confirm the order. Weather, a blocked road or a hartal can move it. If that happens we will call you — we will not simply fail to arrive.

Somebody has to be there to receive the load and pay the balance. If nobody is, and we cannot reach you, the coconuts come back with us and the delivery charge stands.

Checking what arrives

Look at the load before the pickup leaves. Count it, and look at the grade.

If the count is short or the grade is not what was agreed, say so there and then and we will put it right — replace the shortfall on the next run, or take it off the balance. Once the pickup has gone it becomes very hard for either of us to know what was on it.

What we sell is a farm product

Coconuts are cut after you book, not taken from a warehouse. They are a natural product: sizes vary within a grade, and a small number in any load may be below standard. We grade honestly and we do not charge for a coconut that is not fit to sell.

We cannot guarantee that every piece will be identical, and nobody who has bought coconuts wholesale would expect us to.

Your account

Keep your password to yourself. If someone else uses your account, we will treat orders placed from it as yours until you tell us otherwise.

You can close your account by asking us.

Using this site

Please do not scrape the rate card, attempt to break into the admin area, or place orders you have no intention of taking. We will refuse service to anyone who does.

If something goes wrong

Call us first. Most problems with a load are settled in one conversation.

Our responsibility for an order is limited to what you paid for it. We are not liable for what a delayed delivery costs your own business — if that matters to you, order earlier than you need it.

Which law applies

These terms are governed by the law of Bangladesh, and any dispute goes to the courts of Bangladesh.
